Trinity Free Clinic is very grateful to our many community partners who make it possible for us to provide free health care for our patients. The generosity of St. Vincent Health, Indiana University Health, and the Central Indiana Senior Fund ensures that care continues to be available week after week. Thank you!
Immediate Dental Care
Dental evaluations and emergency dental care are offered based on immediate dental need as determined by the dental staff. Acute Dental Clinic provides evaluation, x-rays and simple extractions. Often patients come with severe infections and antibiotics are prescribed, with follow-up appointments for treatment. Depending on the diagnosis, a patient could be referred .
Trinity Free Clinic is now offering urgent dental care and limited dental treatments for children and adolescents in addition to adults. Urgent dental care includes treatment for broken teeth, dental pain, infections, etc. We are not able to offer ongoing preventative care, such as check-ups and regular cleanings. All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. In addition, Trinity Free Clinic can provide Head Start dental exams to qualifying children who do not have Medicaid.
Please note the following changes in Trinity Free Clinic urgent dental care visits!
To better serve the needs of our patients, those needing immediate dental services can now call and schedule an appointment for the next available visit rather than trying to be seen at a walk-in clinic. We find that this alleviates the lengthy wait patients sometimes experienced before getting to see a dentist during walk-in clinics. Call for more information.
If you are in need of immediate dental care, please call 317-669-6927, and we will provide you with the next available dental appointment.
Please keep in mind:
Trinity Free Clinic provides urgent dental care to treat teeth that hurt or will hurt if left untreated. Our goal is to get you out of pain!
It is likely that it will take more than one visit to fully resolve your dental issues. If your issues are beyond our scope, we will give you information about other resources.
Please don’t wait to call until your pain is unbearable!
All Trinity Free Clinic patients must present a photo ID, proof of Hamilton County residency, a bank statement, and one month’s pay stubs at or before the time of their appointment to receive care. This information can also be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Women’s Health Care
Services provided include pap test, clinical breast exam, pregnancy testing and general well women health care. Screening mammograms are offered periodically.
Pediatric Services and Vaccinations
Free medical services for children care of minor illnesses and minor injuries through appointment or through walk-in on Saturday mornings. Trinity Free Clinic also offers well-child exams and school and sports physicals by appointment only.
Uninsured pediatric patients and children covered by Medicaid can also receive the vaccinations required to attend school. Vaccinations are only administered on Tuesday mornings by appointment only.
Please call (317) 819-0772 to schedule an appointment.
Trinity Free Clinic would like to thank Performance Services for their generosity in funding the Pediatric Clinic.
Care for our tiniest patients doesn’t stop when they leave the clinic. Through grants from St. Vincent and Franciscan Health, Trinity Free Clinic makes car seats available to eligible families free of charge.
Vision Screenings and Glasses
Vision screening appointments are available for both adults and children. Patients under the age of 18 must have a referral from a school nurse or a pediatrician at Trinity Free Clinic asking for follow-up testing, or they must currently wear glasses and need an updated prescription. To receive an appointment, the household eligibility requirements (bank statement and pay stubs) must be on file at the clinic. Children must be able to read letters.
Glasses for children, if needed, are provided free of charge using polycarbonate material and have UV protection. No additional options can be added, such as transitions.
Referral Specialty Services
Patients are also referred on an as-needed basis to our in-house physical therapy, podiatry, asthma, and hypertension services.
